REGISTERING ON THE BOROUGH CENSUS:

1. People who have never resided in Spain before:

Fill in the following three forms:


Declaration under oath (signed by all the adults registering).
Borough census register application form (also signed by all the adults registering).
Census registry file record (also signed by all the adults registering).

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED (photocopies and originals):


Non-European Union country applicants:

A valid Passport.

European Union country applicants:

A valid National Identity Card or Passport.
An NIE form issued by the National Police's central foreigner resident register.

All applicants should present ONE of the following documents:

A photocopy of a rental contract.
A photocopy of the deeds to the property.
A photocopy of a water bill, an electricity bill or a rates bill (in the name of whoever is registering).
A document with the signature of a third party who is already registered on the borough census. If the third party who is giving permission to reside in the property is not registered, then proof that the dwelling is their property must be presented in the same way.

2. People who have moved from another Spanish municipality:

Fill in the following two forms:

Borough census register application form (signed by all the adults registering).
Census registry file record (signed by all the adults registering).

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED (the same as above):

3. REGISTERING CHILDREN:

Over 14's: the same requirements as adults are applicable (a photocopy and the original National Identity Card, Passport and NIE form issued by the National Police's central foreigner resident register).

Under 14's: a photocopy and the original booklet recording details of one's marriage, children's birthdates, etc. (“Libro de Familia”).

REGISTERING CHILDREN WHOSE PARENTS ARE SEPARATED:

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED:
A photocopy of a court ruling or a custody settlement

*If neither documents are available, a letter signed by other parent (whoever this applies to) giving written permission for their child or children to live with their ex-spouse, a photocopy of either the National Identity Card or a valid passport.

4. People who have moved to another dwelling within the borough of San Roque:

Fill in a general application form (“Instancia General”) and present the same   documentation as when one registers for the first time.
